If your file is larger than 8 MB, you must use FTP software to upload your files.

FTP Transfers

You can transfer work electronically, Using a PC or MAC, via FTP (file transfer protocol) to ColorZone's FTP repository located at:

Host type: Unix Standard (or auto detect)

Simply transfer your files to the ColorZone repository and notify us by fax, e-mail, or telephone that you have sent the file(s) and we will get to work on them right away! See detailed FTP instructions for Mac and PC below. If you have any questions please call us at 888-233-7913 or send e-mail.

Detailed instructions for using FTP on a Windows 95/98/NT PC:
First you need some FTP software. For Windows 95/98/NT a popular program is WS_FTP® Pro which you can download from IPSWITCH Software (0.5 - 1.5 MB depending on OS version). Once you have downloaded the program to your computer, double click on it to install the program. After installation, start the program and click on the connect button. The session profile window will appear.

Now you must create a profile for ColorZone. Type in ColorZone in the Profile Name box, and fill in the form with the ColorZone FTP information listed above. Aside from the 4 items above, the other form fields can remain blank. Check the Save Password Box and then click the Save Button. The ColorZone profile is now complete.

Click OK to connect to the ColorZone FTP site. The FTP window shows your PC files on the left and the ColorZone repository on the right.

To transfer files, find your files by double clicking on folders to open them. To go back (close the folder) click the green arrow at the top one time for each level back you wish to go. Once you have located your file click on it once to highlight it. Click the transfer arrow between the PC file window and the ColorZone repository window. The file will start transferring immediately. When it is finished you will see the file listed in the ColorZone repository. The file is copied, not erased from your PC. However, if you hit the delete button while a file is highlighted, it will erase the file so be careful.

To transfer multiple files click on each file while holding down the control key. After all the files are highlighted click on the transfer arrow.

Detailed instructions for using FTP on a Macintosh:

First you need some FTP software. For Mac the most popular shareware FTP tool is Fetch, which you can download from the author's site: Fetch 3.0.3 (966 KB). Another excellent shareware choice is Transmit 1.5.1 (953 KB) from Panic.

Once you have downloaded the program to your computer, install the program. After installation, you need to start the program and create a ColorZone shortcut for logging into our FTP site. Along the menu bar at the top of Fetch, choose Customize, then choose Add Shortcut. Fill out the shortcut form with the following information:

When you are finished click OK. The ColorZone Profile is now complete.

To login to ColorZone, In the Fetch Window or under the File Menu choose Open Connection. Chick on the shortcut arrow and choose ColorZone and then click OK. You are now connected to ColorZone.

To transfer a file to ColorZone, click the Put button. Find the file on your computer that you want to transfer, highlight it and click OK. The file should now be listed as ready for transfer. Set the File Format on Raw Data. Click OK. The file will transfer now. When the transfer is complete the file will appear in the ColorZone Directory. To send multiple files at the same time, simply highlight all of the files you want to send in the Put window, set the file format to Raw Data, and Click OK to transfer.
